Chiefs: Matt Nagy (de) new offensive coordinator

New with old for Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Orphaned by their offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who left for Washington only a few days ago, the defending champion franchise was quick to fill the void by promoting Matt Nagy, the current quarterbacks coach. The information was revealed by the franchise’s Twitter account.

This is not a first for Matt Nagy since he occupied this exact same function, at the Chiefs, under the orders of Andy Reid already, during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Subsequently, Nagy became head coach of the Chicago Bears. First for the best by being elected coach of the year in his first season (2018, 12-4 record), then for the worse with the following three seasons without a positive record (8-8, 8-8 then 6 -11), and especially with an atrocious attack that never knew how to exploit the qualities of Justin Fields.

Sacked after the 2021 season, Nagy returned to Andy Reid last season as quarterback coach.
