Should we see the mark of the return of Brady? In 24 hours, Tampa Bay extended two of its main free agents. After center Ryan Jensen returns, the Buccaneers lock in their number one cornerback. According to ESPN, Carlton Davis is coming back for 3 seasons and $45 million.
Drafted in 2018, the 25-year-old cornerback has established himself as the Buccs’ backfield leader. A strong link in the title in 2020, Davis experienced some physical glitches last season which hampered his performance. During his 4 seasons in Florida, he played 51 games and made 207 tackles and 6 interceptions.
While they were promised a year of transition, the express exit from retirement of the quarterback with 7 rings allows Tampa to remain very attractive for its players at the end of the contract.
