Buccaneers: Mike Evans extends for $52 million

Things move quickly in the NFL. New example with Mike Evans.

Two big weeks ago, it was rumored that the receiver was far from an agreement on a new contract with the Buccaneers. This Monday, it's signed. ESPN announces a two-year contract worth $52 million.

Of this total, 35 million would be guaranteed for the 30-year-old receiver.

Evans was at the end of his contract and could have been free on March 11.

Arriving in Tampa thanks to the 7th choice of the 2014 Draft, Mike Evans has simply never finished a season with less than 1000 yards. Whether it was with Josh McCown, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jameis Winston, Tom Brady or Baker Mayfield, he always responded.

In 2023, he still has 79 receptions, 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was selected to the All-Pro second team.

In total, he has 10 seasons with more than 1,000 yards, which no receiver has achieved to start his career in NFL history.
