Browns lose Jack Conklin

Cleveland pays dearly for its weekend victory.

ESPN reports that Jack Conklin tore two knee ligaments against Cincinnati. Bad news for Cleveland, which lost the All-Pro tackle for the rest of the season in the first game of the year. Especially since Conklin signed a four-year, $60 million extension in December.

Kevin Stefanski confirmed Monday that Dawand Jones will take over at right tackle. The rookie from the fourth round of the draft will therefore have to secure his first start against TJ Watt’s Steelers.

“Dawand constantly worked with the coach [de ligne offensive, Bill] Callahan to prepare,” Stefanski said on 92.3 The Fan. “There are no escapes in the NFL. He will continue to improve. »
