Denver Broncos (5-5) – Minnesota Vikings (6-5): 21-20
The longest winning streak in the NFL is now for the Broncos. Courtland Sutton and the Denver defense snatched this honor from the evening’s opponent, the Vikings who dominated the majority of the match but never managed to knock out Denver.
Trailing by five points with just over three minutes to go, the Broncos only took two big minutes to go back 75 yards. An offensive punctuated by a superb reception from Sutton, fighting in the air to snatch a 15-yard reception and the winning touchdown under the nose of cornerback Mekhi Blackmon.

Minnesota and Josh Dobbs had one last chance to get the victory. The two-point conversion having failed, the purple only needed one kick to take the lead. But Denver’s defense is ruthless. Dobbs is constantly under pressure. His offense loses yards, and the quarterback ends up failing on a very long fourth attempt.
The Broncos defense sets the tone
Humiliated by the Dolphins earlier in the season, Denver’s defense is doing better. She shows it from the start of this match by causing a fumble. As the first half progressed, Dobbs and the Vikings were well contained. Fortunately, because Russell Wilson and his squad are not in good shape. They don’t lose any balls, but they don’t do better than three kicks. At the break, the score was 10-9 in favor of Minnesota.
In the third quarter, Josh Dobbs scored on the ground to give the visitors some breathing room (9-17). And Denver punt again in the process. But the Broncos defense continues to do the heavy lifting. She causes another fumble, this time from Alex Mattison, to recover the leather. The attack recovers a field goal in stride (12-17). Then another after an interception by Dobbs (15-17). Minnesota responds and enters the red zone, but has to settle for a field goal (15-20).
Russell Wilson and Courtland Sutton at the right time
The Broncos trail by five points with 3:17 left. If they are not so dropped, it is because they have not lost a single ball. Russell Wilson did not flare up, but he avoided mistakes when the pressure was very often present.
On this last drive, he first found Sutton on a 4th & 3. He connects four times in a row with Samaje Perine, then with Sutton for the win. The finale is like Denver’s attack over the last few weeks: not flashy, but solid at the right time.
The Broncos have a fourth success and return to balance. After five consecutive successes, the Vikings are calming down a little.
