Broncos: Bo Nix promoted to starter

He wasn't facing a lot of competition, but Bo Nix did the most important things. Against the terrible Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson, the Denver Broncos rookie earned the starting spot.

It was Sean Payton, the head coach of the Colorado franchise, who announced the news this Wednesday at a press conference. Fresh out of the University of Oregon, Bo Nix was drafted with the twelfth pick last April.

With a long college career (61 games in 5 seasons and almost 2000 passes thrown!), Bo Nix finished his studies with a bang. In 2024, he had a season with 45 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.

He finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting for the best college player. Ahead of him were two other first-round quarterbacks from the 2024 class: Jayden Daniels and Michael Penix.

First major meeting for Nix's Broncos: September 8 against the Seahawks.
