Brandon Beane (Bills): “We’re going to continue to bet everything”

The Bills are not done with recruiting. In an interview given to Pat McAfee, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane discussed the Amari Cooper trade with the Cleveland Browns and the franchise's current strategy. The transfer deadline is approaching and yet the manager does not intend to sit still. On the contrary, he wants to remain aggressive.

“We will continue to bet everythingexplained Beane on the Pat McAfee Show. If Cleveland had not wanted to trade, we would have continued to monitor other players. We still have a few weeks before trading closes. If we feel that there is someone else who can take us to the top, we will give everything. »

Cooper would therefore only be a first response in the Bills' quest for the Superbowl. The next few weeks promise to be hectic until the deadline of November 5.

Brandon Beane ready to go all-in for a veteran

Brandon Beane also returned to his team's situation in the offseason.

“I know we lost some big names in the offseason, some guys who were captains. It's been a transitional offseason, but the mindset remains the same as long as Josh Allen is our quarterback. We're going to try to win this thing (the Superbowl, Editor's note), and we'll do what it takes every year to get there. »

The Bills are picking up here and there looking for a new piece to assemble a team capable of winning it all. The Browns were the first to take the bait, but Buffalo's general manager already seems to have other ideas in mind. Particularly teams whose season is already compromised and who are looking to obtain a few draft picks.

“No team wants to let go of a player, but you have to look at the present and also think about the futureargued Beane. We are having conversations with a lot of teams to find out where they are. »

It is therefore the side of teams in poor form that we must keep an eye on. A veteran or two could well join Buffalo before November 5 to hope to achieve a first title which the franchise desperately lacks.
