Buffalo Bills (8-6) – Dallas Cowboys (10-4): 31-10
What a victory for the Bills! In a one-sided match, Buffalo largely dominated the far too undisciplined Cowboys.
For once, Josh Allen (7/15, 94 yards, 1TD; 8 races, 24 yards, 1TD) was able to leave the hero costume and count on his partners. In attack, James Cook (and his line) made rain and shine with his 179 yards and 2 touchdowns. In defense, it was the line that made the difference by putting Dak Prescott (21/34, 134 yards, 1INT) and his protectors to death with 3 sacks and 7 pressures.
The Bills are back!
Head and shoulders buffalo
In the first half, Buffalo scored 21 points when the Cowboys only managed to score a small field goal.
On both sides of the ball, Dallas can regret its indiscipline which is costly on several occasions. Also unusual, the Cowboys lose the physical challenge against the opposing lines.
On the other hand, for Buffalo everything seems to be going well. The Bills put together a convincing first offensive series with 7 minutes of possession and 75 yards gained. Several big runs on the ground from James Cook and well-adjusted passes from Allen made the difference. In the end it was Latavius Murray for the touchdown (7-0).
The locals added a touchdown on reception from Cook a few minutes later. A result helped by a penalty obtained against Dallas. As Buffalo was about to return the ball, the Bills punter was fouled. An incident of play that changed the dynamic of the match.
Before returning to the locker room, Josh Allen worsens the score with a touchdown on the ground. Buffalo then leads 21-3. Once again in this series, the locals can thank the opposing defense for their mistakes.
Jared Cook drives the point home
Returning from the locker room, the Bills strengthen their domination. The defense continues to force punts and even intercepts the ball once.
As for the attack, it sees James Cook multiplying the races and swallowing up the yards. If the first series ends with just a field goal (but with 8 minutes of possession), the second sees number 4 score a touchdown (31-3) on a 24-yard run!
At the end of time, Dallas reduced the gap with a touchdown (31-10) from CeeDee Lamb. After the heavy defeat against the 49ers, Dallas fell heavily again against one of the title contenders. Mike McCarthy and his men are increasing the pressure (and doubts?) on them before the playoffs.
