Bengals: Tee Higgins retained by franchise tag

The Bengals are the first to draw. Tee Higgins will remain in Ohio in 2024. The franchise informed the player that it was using the franchise tag to retain him.

Possible since February 20 and until March 5, this tool allows Cincinnati to ensure the presence of the receiver in 2024. The player has until July 15 to sign this franchise tag. A period which allows both parties to possibly be able to discuss a long-term extension.

Along with Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins forms one of the most talented and intimidating duos in the league. In 2023, Higgins has 42 catches for 656 yards and 5 touchdowns in 12 games. Statistics down compared to the two previous seasons where he crossed the 1000 yard mark.
