Bears: Tyson Bagent will start against the Saints

The Chicago rookie will make his third start for Week 9, replacing Justin Fields.

With a thumb injury, Justin Fields is under weekly evaluation, and according to Matt Eberflus he is not progressing enough to be considered available next weekend. The Chicago Tribune therefore announces that Tyson Bagent will make his third start of the season against the Saints.

Even though he had a victory against the Raiders in Week 7, the undrafted rookie came back to earth this weekend against the Chargers.

For the moment, for the season, his record is 56 completed passes out of 80, for 477 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions. He also ran for 27 yards and 2 touchdowns.
