According to several journalists, the Chiefs’ executive director of personnel will take charge of the Illinois franchise.
One less worry for the Bears! According to NFL Network or ESPN, Poles has agreed to become GM of the Bears. He was their first choice and remained on the shelves of the Vikings as well.
A former left guard, Poles was summarily signed by the Bears in 2008 as an undrafted player, but joined the Chiefs in 2009. The successes of the Missouri franchise have obviously convinced the NFL franchises of its value.
The information has two important consequences. Firstly, Poles will therefore not be the manager of the Vikings, who according to several sources should fall back on the current vice-director of football of the Browns Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. Second, Poles will pick the next Bears coach himself. According to what circulates, he will therefore choose between Dan Quinn, Matt Eberfluss and Jim Caldwell.
