The Chicago quarterback has a thumb injury and will likely miss playing time.
It is very likely that Justin Fields will not be available for the match against Las Vegas counting for week 7 of the competition.
The Chicago quarterback suffered a dislocated thumb against the Vikings, and even if the finger was able to be put back in place, there are after-effects. During his press conference Monday, Matt Eberflus explained that Fields is having grip issues with his throwing hand. It is this element which will mainly determine a possible return.
In fact, Eberflus listed Fields as “very uncertain” for the coming week. The team will have a better idea of his availability during the week, and the next few days will tell more precisely how quickly he will be able to return to the field.
Tyson Bagent took over for Fields against Minnesota, and the club also has veteran Nathan Peterman on its reserve team.
