Bears: DJ Moore lands franchise-record deal

It took DJ Moore just one season to make his mark in Chicago. On Tuesday night, he was rewarded with a four-year, $110 million contract extension.

It's the largest amount given to a Bears player on a contract extension in franchise history.

Of the total, $82.6 million is guaranteed, ESPN reports.

Moore had two years left on his contract. With these four additional seasons, he is now signed until the end of the 2029 season.

Last season, DJ Moore caught 96 balls for 1,364 yards and 8 touchdowns. Very solid when you remember that the offense was led by Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent.

DJ Moore, third in the receiver rankings

While he breaks a record for the Bears, DJ Moore does not become the highest-paid receiver in the league. In terms of guaranteed money, the 27-year-old finds himself in third place on the podium, behind Justin Jefferson ($110M) and AJ Brown ($84M).

Selected in the first round of the 2018 draft by the Panthers, Moore was part of the trade that allowed Carolina to move up to the first position in the 2023 draft to select Bryce Young.

A trade in which Chicago also recovered the pick that became Caleb Williams. With the rookie and DJ Moore, but also the arrival of Keenan Allen, the Bears now hope to see their attack take off.
