Attention, it’s subtle: the Panthers change (a little) jersey

Maybe most people won’t even notice.

At least the official Panthers website has the franchise credit. Because, at first glance, the modification of the team jersey is not very obvious.

This Thursday, Carolina announces that it has changed the blue of its jerseys. The explanation is simple: in 2012, when it arrived as the league’s equipment supplier, Nike did not offer the original Panthers blue. The franchise therefore took what came closest to it in the catalog of the comma brand.

Except that since then, Nike has added options to its pantone, and the Charlotte team has therefore chosen a new, slightly darker blue.

This change comes as Nike changes the technology of its jerseys, which will lead to another modification. The tape on the arm of Carolina players will no longer completely wrap around the shoulder.

The full jersey will be visible when handed to the first draft pick on April 27.
