With all the stories surrounding Antonio Brown in recent years, the news of his arrest is anything but a surprise. The former Steelers and Buccaneers wide receiver was arrested by police in Broward County, Florida, on Sunday. He was released after posting $15,000 bail.
According to TMZ, police put Brown behind bars because he was no longer paying the child support he owes to his ex-partner and mother of his daughter, Wiltrice Jackson. The latter revealed last week to TMZ that Brown owed her nearly $31,000.
“I want him arrested,” she said. “Because right now, he’s making fun of the judge, of everything, because he feels untouchable. »
This is not the first time that Antonio Brown has had problems with his former partner. Earlier this year, he failed to pay $30,000 in child support, but settled the amount before a possible arrest. Wiltrice Jackson also accused Brown of domestic violence in 2019, claiming he pushed her. He was not charged at the time.
Last June, other stories of payment problems forced the National Arena League to exclude the Albany Empire, the team owned by Antonio Brown, from the league. Brown failed to pay his franchise dues to the league on time, and refused to pay a fine for comments he made publicly.
