By restructuring the runner’s contract, Green Bay is ensuring that it does not lose its runner next year due to salary reasons
While waiting to find out what Aaron Rodgers is doing, the Packers have decided to secure the services of one of their executives for next year.
Indeed, Adam Schefter announces that Green Bay and Aaron Jones have agreed to restructure the runner’s contract and secure the player’s services.
Jones will therefore receive nearly 11 million in 2023 instead of the 15 million expected. In addition, its impact on payroll will drop from 20 million to 8 million. All this avoids a cut of the runner.
With 5284 yards and 43 touchdowns in six seasons, Jones is one of the key pieces of the Green Bay attack.
