49ers – Seahawks (28-16): Deebo Samuel teaches a lesson

The 49ers are getting closer to the playoffs with another convincing victory against the Seahawks in danger.

After a stratospheric match against the Eagles where he scored 2 touchdowns, Deebo Samuel (7 REC, 150 yards, 2 TDs) does it again against the Seahawks. The 49ers' handyman torments Seattle's defense. But he was not alone. Brock Purdy (19/27, 368 yards, 2 TDs, INT) is effective, Brandon Aiyuk (6 REC, 126 yards) is still just as valuable, and above all, Christian McCafffrey (16 carries, 145 yards is still the undisputed master on the ground , despite no touchdown scored. In short, a weekly routine for the 49ers who take first place in the NFC conference, and put pressure on the Eagles.

For the Seahawks, it's a soup of grimaces, with a 4 in a row which does not give the team confidence as the final sprint approaches. Despite Drew Lock (22/31, 269 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs) replacing Geno Smith who did his best, the Seahawks logically suffered the law of the strongest

Tighter than expected

First play of the game, 72 yards from Christian McCaffrey. Second play, Jordan Mason touchdown. The 49ers are off to a strong start, but so are the Seahawks. DK Metcalf (2 REC, 52 yards, TD) is found by Drew Lock on a magnificent pass, and equalizes. Despite the interception and trailing for 8 minutes, Brock Purdy and the 49ers dominated this first period.

Deebo Samuel's touchdown to allow the 49ers to go ahead only confirms this domination. Despite the absence of Geno Smith and a still convalescing Kenneth Walker (8 carries, 21 yards), the Seahawks remain in contact.

DK Metcalf frustrated and ejected

Pete Caroll's team is still holding on, Colby Parkinson responding to another touchdown from Deebo Samuel. Finally, it was George Kittle (3 REC, 76 yards, TD) who put the finishing blow on a 44-yard touchdown.

A series of turnovers followed, with an interception by rookie Jy'Air Brown, then a fumble by Brandon Aiyuk, while his team was within reach of scoring more points. This series will give rise to a conclusion in the fight.

After another Drew Lock interception by Fred Warner, DK Metcalf, frustrated at first, lost his temper and found himself expelled. Deommodore Lenoir received the same sanction. But regardless, what we will remember is that the 49ers are definitely above in the NFC West, and should qualify for the end-of-season playoffs.
