His name comes up repeatedly in transfer rumors but, while waiting for a possible departure from Chicago, Zach LaVine must already treat his inflammation in his right foot and The Athletic indicates he will miss three to four more weeks.
Initially, the back of the Bulls was expected to return this week after a few days of rest, but he is clearly far from recovered and his franchise, likely to part with him soon, therefore does not intend to take any risks with his state of health.
Nothing to disturb the Chicago players who, in the absence of their double All-Star (21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists), have just had three consecutive victories for the first time this season…
Soon a 4th victory in a row?
Last night, the Bulls dominated the Hornets, and on Friday, they will aim for a 4th victory in a row for San Antonio. Enough to make Coby White smile again, since the Bulls have not won four matches in a row since February 2022!
“This gives us a lot of confidence,” recognizes the Chicago back. “It’s obvious that Zach’s absence, given his caliber, gives us more opportunities. But we can't replace Zach LaVine. As far as we're concerned, we're trying to make a collective effort to compensate for what he's doing on the field.”
