Wolves Sale: Glen Taylor Subpoenas NBA!

Yet another twist in this battle of billionaires opposing Glen Taylor to the duo Alex Rodriguez – Marc Lore for the repurchase of Wolves and the Lynx. We learn as well as the still owner of the Minneapolis franchises will subpoena the NBA and neither side has so far wished to comment on this information.

If Glen Taylor subpoenas the NBA, a “rare” decision that could “potentially make confidential information public,” according to Sporticois to speed up the resolution of this dispute that has been going on since March. So far, Adam Silver has refused to get involved and, at the end of the year, Glen Taylor as well as Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore will appear before an arbitration commission to defend their point of view, after having already failed to find common ground during a mediation last May.

Four years since Wolves were put up for sale

As a reminder, it has been many months since the Wolves and Lynx were bought by Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore for around $1.5 billion. Put up for sale by Glen Taylor in 2020, the two franchises remain in his possession to this day, because the majority owner (60%) believes that the agreement between the two camps was not respected by the two minority owners (40%), now supported by Michael Bloomberg.

For the Alex Rodriguez-Marc Lore duo, who maintain that the initial agreement was broken unilaterally, Glen Taylor decided to stop everything because the value of his franchise had exploded thanks to his good sports results. So there would never have been any question of moving to Las Vegas, nor of late payments, nor of problems in raising the money necessary to buy the Wolves and the Lynx.
