Wolves keep TJ Warren until end of season

While the second 10-day contract of TJ Warren had expired, the Wolves were faced with a choice regarding the winger: let him go or keep him for the end of the season.

Eventually, The Athletic announces that the former Suns and Pacers player remains in the Minneapolis workforce.

For Chris Finch, Wolves coach, TJ Warren above all represents insurance coming off the bench, a player capable of instantly providing scoring, even if he has struggled to do so since his arrival at the club.

In seven matches played, he only averaged 4.1 points at 38% success, in 14 minutes on average. He did not return during the Wolves' last two meetings, against the Cavs and the Warriors. However, in the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns, he brings an always interesting offensive profile.

At 30 years old, TJ Warren will therefore end the campaign with a Minnesota team (49 victories – 22 defeats) which could achieve the best regular season in the history of the club, even if it will be necessary to win 9 of the 11 remaining matches to equal the record of Kevin Garnett's squad (58-24), established during the 2003/04 season.
