WNBA All-Star Game | Jewell Loyd MVP, Brittney Griner in great shape

There were a lot of people to attend this All-Star Game in the WNBA. Dwyane Wade, Tracy McGrady and Anthony Davis but also Sue Bird and Sheryl Swoopes had made the trip to Las Vegas.

The day after Sabrina Ionescu’s insane feat, this star game was won by Team Stewart against Team Wilson (143-127). The event of the evening was obviously the presence of Brittney Griner, detained for several months in Russia in 2022.

“What we see on the pitch is pleasant, but it’s in the locker room before the match that all the little moments that we remember take place”, she explained to ESPN.

Two WNBA records for Jewell Loyd

The Phoenix player, who started, shone with two dunks in this meeting, compiling 18 points and 13 rebounds. But it’s not her who leaves with the MVP trophy, it’s Jewell Loyd. Her teammate has indeed scored 31 points, which is a new record in an All-Star Game. A record achieved with only 3-point shots and… even a 4-point basket. His 10 3-point shots are also a WNBA record.

As for Ionescu, heroine of the competition day, she finished with 18 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
