Aliyah Boston in a very closed club
Author of a remarkable start to the season, Aliyah Boston will become the first rookie to start an All-Star Game since Shoni Schimmel in 2014. She becomes the 8th rookie in WNBA history to be named holder of a All-Star Game. She joins Shoni Schimmel (2014), Elena Delle Donne (2013), Brittney Griner (2013), Maya Moore (2011), Sue Bird (2002), Tamika Catchings (2002), and Chamique Holdsclaw (1999).
Selected in first position in the 2023 Draft by the Indiana Fever, she is off to a more than convincing start, with averages of 15.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 against on average, with 65.1% shooting success.
Not only is she the rookie leader in all of the above statistical categories, but she also ranks sixth in the league in blocks and first in shot success rate.
