It has now been four years sinceAnthony Gill is in the Wizards' squad. For a limited contribution on the field since in the 179 games he played with Washington, he averages 3.6 points in 10 minutes.
But as with James Johnson in Indiana, the main thing is probably elsewhere for the former Khimki Moscow player.
Because the 31-year-old player is a veteran who is particularly appreciated in the locker room, respected by his young teammates and whose infectious good humor is good for a franchise with gloomy results…
What about Tyus Jones?
It remains to be seen what contract Washington offers, because ESPN doesn't specify itwhile the Wizards already have 14 guaranteed contracts for next season, and two non-guaranteed ones (Jared Butler and Eugene Omoruyi).
And most importantly, it was thought that the 15th spot on the roster would be for Tyus Jones, who still hasn't extended. So maybe a trade (or sign-and-trade) is in the works in the federal capital.
