With 98.5% of the votes, Caitlin Clark is elected Rookie Of The Year

Even though Angel Reese had an exceptional season, some thought that Caitlin Clark would be unanimously elected Rookie Of The Year. Finally, one or only one journalist did not follow the vote of their colleagues, and the Fever fullback won the trophy with 66 votes out of 67. The missing vote is obviously for Reese, and until his injury, the Sky interior had a say in the fight for this award.

But it's hard to resist tidal wave Clark both on and off the field. The former Iowa star brought tremendous momentum to the WNBA, with packed houses and record audiences on the small screen. In terms of play, she finished her season with 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

Best passer in the WNBA and number 1 in 3-pointers

She is number 1 among rookies in points, assists and steals. Best passer in the WNBA, but also number 1 in 3-pointers scored and 2nd in free throws, she leaves the “rebounds” category to Reese, best rebounder in the championship with 13.1 shots.

Clark succeeds his teammate Aliyah Boston, and in their wake, the Fever returned to the playoffs after eight years of absence! “The nice thing is to think that I'm just getting started…I know that I want to help this franchise become even better, help my teammates become even better, be better for my teammates. I know there’s a lot of room for me to continue to improve, so that’s what excites me the most.”
