Will Hardy sounds the alarm for Jazz

The element of surprise seems to have passed in Utah. A rather attractive and surprising team last season, Jazz has not been able to confirm for a month and the start of the competition. The defeats keep coming, four in a row currently, and it is the last two which angered Will Hardy.

The first two, in Phoenix, were short (twice three points apart and one match in double overtime) while the next two, against the Lakers and the Blazers, were wide: -32 against Los Angeles and -16 against in Portland.

” It was awful “, trust even for the Deseret News the coach, who saw his troops trail by 32 points and lose 24 balls in Portland. “There are times when one is truly narrow-minded collectively. And it will continue to hurt us if we don’t correct things, if we don’t show a willingness to do the simple things that come before us. »

No more sound, no more image for two matches

The figures are quite worrying: only 102 points on average over the last two matches, 38 lost balls or even a very ugly 21/75 at 3-pts.

“Before this road trip, I found that our rhythm offensively was where we wanted it to be, in terms of ball circulation, opportunities, creation, points and balls in the racket. I don’t know where all this has gone in the last two matches.”regrets Jordan Clarkson.

Will Hardy really wasn’t happy with his players’ performances, and he made it clear.

“These two meetings are not representative of what we want to do,” assures the coach. “It’s collective, I’m with them. As soon as I return home, victory or defeat, I am strict with myself. You have to have the same responsibility as me: if you wear this Jazz jersey, then you have to care about Jazz. »

The next two meetings, to bounce back, will be in Salt Lake City with the double reception of the Pelicans who are in good shape with four victories in five matches.
