What if Lonzo Ball didn’t play for the season…

Will play, won’t play? This is now the question that surrounds the name of Lonzo-Ball on the side of Chicagoconcerning this season 2022/23.

In effect, Adrian Wojnarowski has somewhat cooled fans of the Bulls, because nothing would now guarantee the return of the 25-year-old point guard during this exercise. The latest news, however, it was rumored that he could return at the start of 2023, before Billy Donovan showered (already) the hopes of the most optimistic.

After having undergone an arthroscopy of the left knee at the end of September, almost nine months after a first operation which occurred following his tearing of the meniscus, Lonzo Ball had declared in the process that he could not neither run nor jump “. But almost three months later, his pain has still not disappeared according to ESPN and we will probably not see him again until the All-Star Weekend period.

Provided, of course, that Chicago really needs the second pick of the 2017 Draft for the end of the season, because the Illinois franchise currently ranks 11th in the East (11 wins – 16 losses), with one game and a half behind the “play-in” and two games behind the Top 8.

Suffice to say that the vagueness still reigns as much around Lonzo Ball. But his various relapses, his poor responses to treatments and operations, or his persistent knee pain (when he should have initially returned in March) hardly inspire optimism, and that is the least that the we can say…
