Warriors offer opportunity to Rodney McGruder

Left free by the Pistons since the beginning of July, Rodney McGruder will have waited all summer for an NBA team to come forward until this phone call from the Warriors. According to Shams Charaniathe 32-year-old guard received an invitation from the Warriors to participate in training camp and he will therefore be in the running to land a place on the roster.

Currently, the franchise only has 13 guaranteed contracts for 2023-2024, and therefore still has two vacant spots. This is also the case for “two-way contracts” since only Lester Quinones is currently registered as such.

Remember 2021…

Suffice to say that this is a great opportunity for Rodney McGruder who also has the opportunity to completely change environment after three seasons spent in Detroit where he nevertheless fulfilled his rotation role.

For the record, the reunion with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green promises to be warm as the two had made fun of a bad reaction from Rodney McGruder towards Juan Toscano-Anderson after a match won by Golden State in January 2021.
