Vitaly Potapenko reunites with JB Bickerstaff in Detroit

Reinforcement for JB Bickerstaff in Michigan, since ESPN announces the arrival of Vitaly Potapenko on the bench of Pistonsas an assistant. A role he has held for more than ten years in the NBA, successively passing through the Pacers, the Cavaliers and then the Grizzlies. With, in between, a few stints in the G-League.

A former player who played for Cleveland, Boston, Seattle and Sacramento, the Ukrainian drafted in 1996 (12th choice) arrives at Detroit to strengthen a staff that already includes Luke Walton as JB Bickerstaff's main right-hand man.

The work will be enormous, since the franchise is simply coming off the worst season in its history and it will be necessary to develop a bunch of young gems who are just waiting to blossom.
