Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady reunite to invest in the NFL

Present at the Hall Of Fame this weekend, Tracy McGrady And Vince Carter had recounted their emotion at finding themselves together at the Basketball Hall of Fame, after having started their careers together in Toronto.

Today, here they are joining forces on another type of terrain since Sportico reports that the two cousins, along with former American football star Jozy Altidore, are in talks to acquire minority shares in the Buffalo Bills (NFL).

Currently owned by the Pegula family, the franchise is seeking investors, and earlier in the year the Bills hired a firm to explore the sale of a non-controlling interest, estimated at around 25 percent.

“There has been significant interest, and our priority is to find the right partners for our organization. The process is still ongoing, and no potential investors can be confirmed or finalized until the NFL approves.”the Bills said in a statement. “The Pegula family's continued commitment to our fans, both in this region and beyond, particularly as it relates to Western New York and the new Highmark Stadium, remains unchanged. »

Magic Johnson is Vince Carter's role model

According to Sportico estimates, the Bills' valuation is estimated at $5.08 billion, which places it 26th out of 32 in the NFL. Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady and Jozy Altidore all have ties to nearby Toronto, where the Bills played a half-dozen regular-season games. Because it has relaxed its investment system, the NFL has once again become attractive to minority shareholders.

This year alone, former American Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes, along with other investors, acquired a stake in the Atlanta Falcons. As for Tom Brady, he is awaiting approval from the NFL to take a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

A year ago, Magic Johnson participated in the acquisition of the Washington Commanders and Vince Carter mentioned Magic Johnson as a source of inspiration for his financial projects.
