Victor Wembanyama returns to the infirmary

Brilliant since the return of the All-Star Game and recently voted Rookie of the Month for February, Victor Wembanyama going to take a little break. The Spurs announced that their rookie would not play against the Kings due to a sprained right ankle suffered against the Rockets.

Already in trouble with his left shoulder after a collision with Myles Turner, the Frenchman was seriously knocked around by Alperen Sengun. He left the second quarter, reportedly with hip pain.

Clearly, the little injuries are multiplying, and the Spurs prefer that he take a break: he will not play this evening in Sacramento, against the Kings in back-to-back.

“Wemby” will therefore miss his 7th match of the season, and the other six were already due to a sprained right ankle. Then, the Spurs' next game is Saturday in San Francisco against the Warriors.

No shots taken in the second half

Proof that Victor Wembanyama was not at his best against the Rockets, he did not attempt a single shot in the second half! His 10 points also represented his lowest total since December 21, and a loss in Chicago.

Because of his shoulder, the Frenchman was already very uncertain before the match against the Rockets, and his participation was decided at the last moment. Another indicator of his fatigue, he decided to skip the press conference after the defeat against Houston.
