Victor Oladipo back in February with the Heat? | NBA

We almost tend to forget it, but Victor Oladipo is a Heat player. It must be said that for three years, and his first injury to the tendon of the right quadriceps in January 2019, the latter has only played 52 matches and in three different jerseys.

Reality check: The fullback returned to Indiana after his injury, before being included in the James Harden trade to Brooklyn a year ago and landing in Houston. Two months later, he left Texas to go to Miami. But after only four matches, in May 2021, the former All-Star (2018, 2019) injured his right quadriceps tendon again and went to the pool table again.

Finally, last summer, he was retained by the Heat and his return was expected for the start of 2022. According to information from the Miami Herald, the former Pacers is on schedule.

He trains well, runs smoothly and works with the Heat’s assistant coaches. He could even finally start his season next month.

“He can’t wait to come back”, said his teammate Bam Adebayo. “He’s really motivated and will be a great addition to the team when he’s back. He is more and more present in training. We hear it more. When he can play, it will be a big day for us. “

As well as for the player, who signed a contract for only one year last offseason, in order to aim for a big check this summer. If he does come back in February, then he’ll have less than four months (if the Heat go all the way to the Finals) to convince the league he’s back to his best.
