Emotion sequence on Saturday at Wilson Park (Los Angeles) where a new field was inaugurated thanks to the charity ” Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in the presence of the widow of Kobe BryantVanessa, but also Trae Young and legend Lisa Leslie.
Artist’s work “Sloe_Motions”the playground was painted in “Purple & Gold” and includes lots of little touches in tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, who both died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Murals include the father’s jerseys and his daughter, with numbers 24 and 2.
Butterflies also surround the central circle and complete the decoration on the walls of the enclosure. There is also a magnificent black and white fresco with the portraits of Kobe and Gigi Bryant adorned with two roses, the numbers 24 and 2 and a heart-shaped basketball with the writing “Forever” below.
“We’ve been trying to build a basketball court in a public space in Los Angeles for years and we’re so grateful to City Councilman Andre Spicer and Mayor Emma Sharif for allowing us to be included in your community”, said Vanessa Bryant on her social networks. “To our donors, it’s thanks to you that this happened. Every dollar you donate and every merchandise you purchase from the foundation goes toward our mission of creating a positive impact for underprivileged athletes, boys and girls, in sport.”
Vanessa Bryant also specified that other initiatives of this kind would be brought to light.
