A few hours before Victor Wembanyama’s debut in the summer league, the incident with Britney Spears had a most unexpected end. After viewing the CCTV footage, the Las Vegas police decided to drop the case, and not bring any charges against the Spurs and the Frenchman. For what ? Simply because on the images, they discovered that Britney Spears had herself “struck” in the face!
According PA, the video shows that Britney Spears had put her hand on the shoulder of Wembanyama. The Spurs security manager then intervenes to push his hand away, which lands on the singer’s face, causing her to lose her glasses.
The day before, Wembanyama had given his version of the facts, and he had explained that he had learned only much later that it was about Britney Spears.
” This person called me ‘Sir, Sir’ and grabbed me from behind. I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and didn’t stop. (…) I just know that security pushed her away. I don’t know how strong. I didn’t stop to look, I was able to come in and enjoy a nice dinner”.
