Under the eyes of mom and dad, Bronny James should play on Sunday

This is the home stretch for Bronny James since USC announces that LeBron James' eldest son practiced normally on Thursday, with the rest of the team. A session that went perfectly, and he could play Sunday against Long Beach State.

“Today was his first day of contact training”, confirms his coach Andy Enfield. “He looked good. He needs to get his rhythm back and be fit for the match, but I thought it was a good first day.”

According to his coach, the decision to play him on Sunday will depend on how he feels during the next training sessions, Friday and Saturday. For his teammate Kobe Johnson, optimism is required.

“He looks like he’s 100 percent. He was getting back into the swing of things and just having him on the field boosted the morale of the team. It’s great to have him on the pitch” Johnson explains. “Above all, it brings energy. The fact that he is present and brings his energy to the field will be crucial for us. He is an excellent defender. A lot of people don’t know it, but it’s going to be crucial to have him on the front line of defense.”

LeBron excited to see Bronny play

If Bronny were to play on Sunday, it would be very good news for the Lakers, since LeBron James will not have to miss a game to see his debut. Finalists in the NBA tournament, the Lakers play Saturday evening against the Pacers, and the NBA takes a break on Sunday.

“I’m looking forward to it, that’s for sure. I'm very excited, very excited to live this moment.” LeBron reacted Thursday evening. “ First, I can't wait to see him race with his teammates. Then once it comes into play, whenever it is, it's going to be a big moment for our family. It will obviously be a great moment for him. … It’s a big milestone for our family, that’s for sure.” And it’s a new step for him in his basketball career.”
