Drafted by Utah in 2020 with the 27th pick, Udoka Azubuike was ultimately not retained by the Salt Lake City franchise three weeks ago. The former understudy of Rudy Gobert and Walker Kessler comes out of a Summer League with Boston where he averaged 7.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 16 minutes over 5 games.
The Suns thus ensure the presence of a robust 5th position in the event of injury in the first team and experienced in NBA games (68 games played in three seasons, 3.3 points and 3 rebounds in 9 minutes on average).
