Tyrese Maxey relativizes while waiting for the end of the Harden soap opera

Tyrese Maxey has only been in the NBA for three years and the “combo guard” is already on his second endless soap opera caused by the desire to leave a teammate. After the Ben Simmons case, who ended up being sent to Brooklyn, it was James Harden who upset the balance in the locker room by asking for his trade.

A delicate situation to which the former Kentucky seems to have become accustomed, as he explained in his podcast.

“It’s crazy to say that, but it’s not our first rodeo, honestly,” he reminded. “It’s funny to say, but that’s life. James is a big boy and he is free to do whatever he wants. I’m preparing right now to play, with him or without him…and I love James. If James decided to come back and play for us, no one in this organization would be upset.

The “combo guard” therefore tries to remain positive, even if the most total vagueness reigns among the Sixers, who will leave with a new coach at the start of the school year and do not yet know what their true face will be.

Philly still has some certainties, including the fact that reigning MVP Joel Embiid should still be in the game. Almost single-handedly, he’ll make Nick Nurse’s roster a team to be taken seriously, and that’s what Tyrese Maxey is clinging to as he waits for this new soap opera to end.

“We have talent. We have the reigning MVP on our team. We have to go out there with the aim of winning while trying to achieve our goal. It will certainly be even more difficult now that one of our best players has decided he doesn’t want to come back, but that’s the way life is.”, did he conclude.
