Two-time Slam Dunk Contest winner Mac McClung remains tied to Magic

Last year at the same time, Mac McClung had landed a contract with Orlando for training camp, with the goal of securing one of the last roster spots. Ultimately, he never played with the first team, merely shining in the G-League: averaging 24.7 points, 6.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds.

MVP of the development league, he was still invited to defend his title at the Slam Dunk Contest, winning it for the second consecutive time, beating Jaylen Brown in the final.

Not enough to allow the 25-year-old point guard/guard to fully integrate into a Major League squad.

Accordingly, Shams Charania announces that Mac McClung signed a new, partially guaranteed contract with the Magic. Since the Florida roster is already full, it's probably still to play in the G-League.
