Paris is unlikely to welcome a regular season meeting again next year. It would be unheard of in the regular season. “We will return to Europe, and we plan to play two meetings in two different cities” explained Mark Tatumduring a press briefing with European media.
Adam Silver's right arm does not exclude that Paris is one of the two destinations, but the idea is still to open up to other countries. Cities like London, Manchester and Berlin are still in the race to welcome regular seasonal meetings. It is quite simply necessary that the rooms meet the NBA standards.
Asked about the possible creation of a league in Europe, Mark Tatum denied the idea that Est Europe is excluded from the project. “We know that there is an audience of enthusiasts in markets like Greece, Turkey and Serbia, and we assess each opportunity” he continues on this possible expansion of the NBA in Europe.
After the double visit of Victor Wembanyama in Paris, the NBA could therefore satisfy the Greeks with the arrival of the Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo, or the Serbs with the Nikola Jokic Nuggets.
