Two more Grizzlies signings

With 17 players under contract and two two-way contracts already signed (point guard Jacob Gilyard and winger Vincent Williams Jr), the Grizzlies have put the finishing touches to their roster with the recruitment of GG Jackson in a two-way contract.

Out of the University of South Carolina, the interior drafted in 45th position by the Grizzlies made 10.6 points and 4.8 rebounds on average in eight games of Summer League this summer. He will thus be able to try his hand in the G-League while having the opportunity to evolve with the first team.

The terms of the agreement regarding the second recruit, Shaquille Harrison, however, were not disclosed. For good reason, the workforce of the Grizzlies is already beyond the 15 guaranteed contracts authorized for the season, it should be a non-guaranteed contract and therefore an invitation to the camp.

An invitation that will still allow the 29-year-old “journeyman” back to show what he has in his stomach during training camp at first, after having been inactive in the NBA in recent years.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 45 days in the NBA. In 2021, this limit is transformed into 50 appearances on the team sheet.
