TV rights | TNT still hopes to keep a few matches to broadcast

The NBA is currently finalizing the renegotiation of TV rights with a contract worth $76 billion over 11 years.

This new deal will begin with the 2025/26 season, still with ESPN/ABC as the main broadcaster, NBC replacing TNT as the second broadcaster and Amazon as the third… but perhaps not the last broadcaster.

Because according to Puck's informationTNT hopes to convince the Grand League to grant it a fourth prize!

This would necessarily be reduced, with only a few regular season and playoff games, but this would allow TNT, the NBA broadcaster for 40 years, to stay around. And it could also save the show “Inside The NBA”, with Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal.

This could also allow the NBA to avoid a legal battle with TNT, the contract between the two parties being quite vague on the channel's possibility of matching NBC's offer.
