The Pacers coach slipped a small exclusion during his pre-game press conference, revealing that Tristan Thompson was going to be the subject of a “buy out” to leave Indiana and join Chicago, a team which, at unlike Indiana, is cut to play the leading roles in the East.
The Bulls will thus acquire a “back-up” of choice behind Nikola Vucevic. The Illinois franchise will however have to part with a player to integrate it into its workforce since it already has 15 elements under contract. It could be Marko Simonovic.
Tristan Thompson will therefore have played only four games with Indiana, saving the best for last with his 17 points at 8/9 shooting and 6 rebounds compiled last night in 21 minutes in the victory over Washington this night.
