Trey Murphy III finally ready to return to the field

The Pelicans have suffered since the start of the season in terms of injuries, since major players have been in the infirmary one after the other. It's quite simple, only Brandon Ingram got through the drops! This Monday, a first important player in Willie Green's rotation should return to the field. It is about Trey Murphywho had not yet set foot on the NBA courts since the resumption of the regular season, the fault of a hamstring injury.

Already having missed the last 19 games of the previous season due to a knee meniscus injury, the wait was starting to be long. “The injury isn't as bad as last time, that's what I can tell you. I just had to take it in stride so I could get back to a higher level than the first injury.”, he confided at the end of the previous day's training. “It sucks having to look at other people, knowing that you know you can contribute a lot and help the team win.”

If his return for tonight's match does not raise too many doubts, Trey Murphy III has however confirmed that he will be under minutes restriction for his big debut in 2024-2025. “I don’t know exactly what it will look like yet. We’ll see.” The message sent to him by the staff, however, is very clear: “Be aggressive, go for 3-pointers, score, be a team player, be a complete player…”.

If he cannot compensate alone for the absence of other executives, all of New Orleans hopes that his return will be the first of a good list, while CJ McCollum, Herb Jones and Jordan Hawkins are hoped for at the end of the week. Next will come Dejounte Murray and Zion Williamson to restore the Pelicans to their full strength.
