Trey Lyles will miss the restart with the Kings

Since his debut in the NBA, he has never completed a full season. Nor does it take the path to Trey Lyles with the upcoming exercise. Hit in the left groin area during an offseason training session, the Kings interior will miss the restart.

His state of health will be reassessed in three weeksa few days before the resumption of the championship for the Californians, against the Wolves at home on October 24. Before that, he will miss his team's five preseason games, from October 9 to 17.

This is another hard blow for the 28-year-old, who was already forced last year to miss the first 13 games of the regular season after suffering a sprained left calf during a pre-season match. He was out two more weeks in March due to a sprained anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. That's a total absence, over the entire season, of 24 matches.

Position 4, the Achilles heel of the Kings

The former Jazz, Nuggets and Spurs player still showed that he remained a very useful interior rotation with his 7 points and 4 rebounds on average in 20 minutes per game.

Capable of punishing consistently behind the 3-point line (38% last year), Trey Lyles relieves Domantas Sabonis by presenting a more assertive offensive threat than the other rotations in the interior sector (Alex Len, Orlando Robinson).

Present with the Canadian selection this summer at the Paris Olympic Games, he did not really stand out with his 2 points and 2 rebounds on average in 11 minutes.
