The NBA has more than ever an eye on the slightest errors of conduct and it is Trae Young who this time was caught. Wednesday evening against Brooklyn, after missing the winning shot at the buzzer against a borderline defense, the Hawks leader briefly lost his temper verbally against a referee.
If we do not know exactly the content of the exchanges, the NBA called him to order by imposing a fine of $25,000 on him for having expressed himself in an inappropriate manner towards one of the members of the refereeing body.
Number 2 in the NBA in technical fouls
A hefty fine linked to the fact that this is not the first time that Trae Young has lost his temper against referees, since the leader of the Hawks has already exceeded the limits several times verbally against officials.
This season, Trae Young has already received five technical fouls, tied with Jaylen Brown and Max Strus. The most undisciplined player is not Draymond Green, nor Luka Doncic, but… Kristaps Porzingis. The Latvian has already received eight technical fouls!
