Which team will animate the end of the transfer market, scheduled for February 10? We talk a lot about the Lakers, the Knicks or the Sixers and the Kings, but according to Hoopshypethe most active franchise might be Washington.
After a very good start to the season, the Wizards have slipped in the standings, to the point of being 12th in the East today with a 6th loss in a row, suffered last night against the Bucks. The atmosphere is most gloomy, and inevitably, that does not encourage Bradley Beal to extend this summer. Like last season, the leaders are ready to do anything to convince him to spend his entire career in the capital, and they should therefore be active in eight days.
Two targets would be in their sights: Domantas Sabonis and Jerami Grant. This is what is rumored, and if the leaders are the Pistons winger, it will not be very difficult to convince Detroit. They have what it takes to put together a deal with young talent, quality veterans, and even first-round draft picks. For Domantas Sabonis, it will be much more complicated because his rating is very high, and he is the “franchise player” of the Pacers. But Indiana’s season is pretty much over, and maybe the executives are considering a rebuild.
On the Washington side, Bradley Beal should not move. Currently injured, and even if his performance is down, he remains a real “franchise player”, and the Wizards remain convinced that they are not so far from the best teams in the East. This was confirmed by their very good start to the season. But since then, it’s more complicated, and in the lead, Spencer Dinwiddie is not unanimous. If the Wizards are looking to trade him, it’s bound to be for a playmaker, and the market is complicated. According to Hooshype, a few teams could be interested, such as the Pelicans, the Clippers or the Knicks. Three formations that would be looking for a good playmaker.
One thing is certain: the Wizards have, like the Pacers, a large cocktail of young people, veterans and Draft picks, and they would be perfect partners to set up trades. Like last summer when they sent Russell Westbrook to the Lakers.
