Too strong, the Bucks take the first round against the Knicks

THE Knicks and the Bucks will meet in two days to open the traditional “Christmas Day” and, this evening (or rather this noon local time), it is the teammates of Giannis Antetokounmpo (28 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists) who did the job to come away with the victory (130-111).

Well supported by Bobby Portis (23 points, 11 rebounds), Khris Middleton (20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists), Damian Lillard (19 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists) or even Malik Beasley (19 points), the “Greek Freak” therefore saw his team win for the seventh consecutive time. Enough to put pressure on Boston at the top of the Eastern Conference…

Powerless against the armada of Milwaukee, new York continues its checkered results, despite the prowess of Jalen Brunson (36 points, 7 assists) or Julius Randle (26 points, 8 rebounds).

TO REMEMBER

A one-sided match. For the third time in as many meetings, the Bucks have dominated the Knicks this season and, this afternoon, they had no difficulty doing so. Well launched by a fiery attack, notably at 3-points, they quickly took a lead of around ten points, before capitalizing on it by dominating on the rebound and also going for points on the line. Enough to make it grow and constantly push New York back to a reasonable distance, weighed down by a defense that is too fair against this Milwaukee team, collectively intractable.

The collective stronger than individuals. Julius Randle and especially Jalen Brunson tried hard, but the Bucks were just too powerful collectively to let go of this match. It must be said that in addition to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, still very productive despite turnovers and missed shots, Milwaukee was able to rely on solid performances from Khris Middleton but also Malik Beasley in the five, without forgetting Bobby Portis coming off the bench. A real steamroller, who constantly knew how to press on the weaknesses of New York's game.
