Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot leaves Asvel for Baskonia

Forgotten from the pre-selection for the Paris Olympic Games, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot will have a new experience abroad since he chose to join Baskoniaand the winger signed up for two years.

Having passed through Serbia, the NBA and the Betclic Elite, “TLC” will discover the Liga Endesa, while still playing in the Euroleague next season.

Returning to France last season, and more precisely to Asvel, the former Sixers and Nets winger averaged 13.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 interceptions. Alongside Nando De Colo and Joffrey Lauvergne, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot came up against Paris Basketball in the semi-final of the playoffs.

For its part, Baskonia missed its season, being eliminated in the quarter-finals of the playoffs by Real Madrid, and being eliminated at the “play-in” stage in the Euroleague. An assessment which cost Dusko Ivanovic his place, returning as a firefighter in November for a fourth experience in the Basque country. For the moment, his replacement has not been announced, and the other recruit announced is Kamar Baldwin, a point guard who arrives from the Italian club Trento.
