Three million dollars in bonuses to be unlocked for Khris Middleton next season

Unsurprisingly, Khris Middleton has extended his adventure in Milwaukee for three more seasons. According to spotracthe winger did not sign for 102 million dollars, as initially announced, but more for 93 million.

Next season, he will receive a salary of 28.7 million, including three million bonuses, more or less easy to unlock, tells us the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

A bonus of $617,000 is actually provided if the Bucks qualify for the playoffs. Barring disaster, Khris Middleton can therefore count on this sum.

Then the 2021 champion will earn another $206,000 if the Bucks go to the Conference Finals, then another $206,000 if they go to the Finals, and finally another $206,000 if they do win the title. That’s $618,000 in total, if Milwaukee is the 2024 champion.

1.5 million dollars to play 62 matches

The second half of the bonuses, $1.5 million, relates to the number of matches played by the winger. He will have to play at least 62 out of 82 if he wants to obtain this sum.

This total is not huge, but it reflects the concern around the health of Khris Middleton, who played only 33 matches during the last campaign. He had missed almost all of the playoffs in 2022, injured in his left knee, before having surgery on his left wrist at the start of last season. Then, during the winter, he was still bothered by his right knee before finally being operated on in June…

He can still hope to get this bonus, because since the 2017/18 season, and before this truncated 2022/23 season, the former Detroit player had always managed to play at least 62 matches.
