Nearly ten years after the release of the Dame 1, adidas and Damian Lillard still form a dynamic duo. The proof is with the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Dame 9. Already seen on the feet of the Bucks point guard, notably during his first game of the 2024 playoffs, when he slammed 35 points against Indiana, the ninth signature shoe of “Dame Time” was officially presented last week.
For this first colorway “Purple Burst” is available with a black mesh base standing out on the upper part, matched with a purple synthetic overlay. The sole offers a gradient going from purple to orange. We also find the player's logo in orange on the tongue while the three stripes of the adidas brand appear in black on the upper.
The Dame 9's release is imminent as a September 6 date has been confirmed for the “Purple Burst” colorway expected to cost $120. This is the same day that the NBA 2K25 video game is set to release. Other colorways of the “Dame 9” should quickly follow before the regular season resumes.
