The young Rockets have fun against the Raptors

As often in preseason, some notable absentees from the Rockets and Raptors. In Houston, Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr. and Eric Gordon are not there, while Toronto arrives without Fred VanVleet. In between, we discover two atypical formations where everyone can play everywhere. Especially with the Raptors.

After twenty balanced minutes, it was first the Green-Porter Jr. duo that made the difference before the break. Both play fast, and the Raptors let go. Between them, they plant 15 points in a row, and at the break, Houston leads by nine points (65-56).

When they return from the locker room, their festival continues and Tari Eason drives the point home. From what we saw in the “Summer League” and since the preseason, he has the profile to be the “stealer” of this Draft. That night, he scored 24 points without ever pulling the cover to him. And when he misses a 3-pointer at the end of possession, he tears himself up to take the rebound and put in (81-70).

Seven minutes from the end, John Lucas replaced him with Theo Maledon and the Frenchman was interesting. He played without complex, and he participated in the victory of the Rockets (116-100). The match folded, the public even claimed Boban Marjanovic, who came into play for a minute. Time to score 3 points and take 1 rebound.
